What We Do

The museum researches, collects, and exhibits the contributions of women to our nation in the context of world history. The museum will include permanent and online exhibits, educational programs, and outreach efforts. We want to communicate women's experiences and accomplishments to the widest possible audience.

Our Vision

We are working to build a women's history museum at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. In the mean time, we honor women’s diverse experiences and achievements through our online museum, educational programs, scholarship, and research.

Why Women's History?

Women's contributions and accomplishments are often overlooked and omitted from our culture. The National Women's History Museum will help fill that void.
